About this category
This award recognises an operator, provider or partner using network, customer or operational data, including AI and machine learning, to improve networks, services or customer outcomes. Judges look for the question asked, the rigour of the analysis and the results, alongside privacy and responsible use.
Eligibility
Open to UK telecoms and connectivity businesses and their data and analytics partners.

Additional criteria
Entries should include a concise case study, supporting figures such as premises passed, coverage, uptime, speeds, take up, customer satisfaction or carbon saved, and, where possible, comments from customers or partners. Commercially sensitive figures can be given as ranges or percentages, and nothing in an entry is shared beyond the judging panel. Never include customer personal data, credentials or details of unresolved security weaknesses. Judges consider the size and stage of the business, so a regional alternative network provider competes on equal terms with a national operator.
